Five-member Pythian Games delegation meets Bangladesh High Commissioner in New Delhi

A five-member Modern Pythian Games delegation representing BIMSTEC led by the Founder of Modern Pythian Games Bijender Goel met Mustafizur Rahman, the Bangladesh High Commissioner in New Delhi, India on Wednesday.

The delegation informed the High Commissioner about the Pythian Games and requested his diplomatic and logistical assistance to spread the games in Bangladesh. The initiative was taken by the Bangladesh Pythian Association. 

There, the game organisers talked about the Pythian Games, its objectives, and plans to promote the game and organise events of the Pythian Games in Bangladesh while requesting an appointment with the Prime Minister of Bangladesh. 

The delegation informed the High Commissioner about the upcoming Indian National Cultural Pythian Games in Chandigarh. They further discussed their plans to establish an office for BIMSTEC Nations, potential areas of collaboration between BIMSTEC and the Bangladesh Pythian Association, cultural exchange programs and initiatives to strengthen ties between BIMSTEC countries through the Pythian Games and establishment of the Pythian Games Academy in Dhaka. 

Deputy High Commissioner Nural Islam, the press minister of the Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi Shaban Mahmood, Ex-ICCR Hindi Chair at the University of Dhaka Dr Poonam Gupta, and Director International Pythian Council Ms Lalita Goel were present there.

A few weeks ago, veteran Bureaucrat Dr Md Abul Kalam Azad was nominated for the President of Modern Pythian Games-BIMSTEC Nations from Bangladesh.
