Mother, son crushed under train in Joypurhat

JOYPURHAT, July 16: A woman and her minor son were crushed under the wheels of a train in Panchbibi Upazila of the district on Monday evening.

The incident took place at about 6 pm in Bagjana area near an unused railway station in the upazila.

The deceased were identified as Sahanaj Begum, 25, wife of Moniruzzaman Mithu, hailed from Dinajpurs Nawabganj Upazila.
 
Panchagarh-bound Ekota Express from Dhaka hit them in the area while Sahanaj Begum was walking through the rail line along with her son, leaving the duo dead on the spot. 

The incident has been informed to the Santahar Railway Police Station (PS), said Foysal Bin Ahsan, officer-in-charge of Panchbibi PS.
