Four cases filed in Ctg accusing 7,500 people

Four cases have been filed in Chattogram in connection with the Tuesday's clashes that killed three people and injured more than hundreds.

The cases were filed on Wednesday morning and around 7,500 people have been named as unknown accused.

These four cases have been filed in two police stations. Of those, one was filed with the Khulshi police station and three others were with Panchlaish police station.
Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) Commissioner Md Saiful Islam acknowledged the matter  and said police have already detained several individuals following raids at various locations.

He said there will be more cases and attempts are being made to identify those involved in the incident by analyzing the CCTV footage. 

He said they have instructed police officers to ensure that no innocent people are accused in these cases.

Earlier, on Tuesday in Chattogram, clashes broke out among the police, Bangladesh Chhatra League, and Juba League and protesting students, who were demanding reform of quotas in government jobs.
