Student killed in protesters, police and Juba League clash

A student of Dhaka Residential Model College was killed and around 200 people during a clash between quota protestors and police along with Juba league men in Dhanmondi area of the capital on Thursday.

The victim was identified as Farhan Faiyaaz, 17.

An official of City Hospital said Farhan was brought dead at the hospital and around 200 people, took treatment at the hospital. Many are still coming to the hospital with injuries.

Police fired tear shell to disperse the student after they blocked the roads at Dhanmondi-27, while Juba League men, wielded with sticks, chased the student. 

Witnesses said the protesters later took position at different allies and the clash spilled over to nearby Lalmatia areas.
