Eight OCs of DMP transferred

Eight officers-in-charge (OCs) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) have been transferred to different police stations following quota protests.

The DMP Headquarters issued an official order in this regard on Monday.

Parvez Islam of Dhanmondi, Mahfuzul Haque Bhuiyan of Mohammadpur, Humayun Kabir of Khilkhet, Farukul Alam of Kafrul, Siddiqur Rahman of Darus Salam, Sheikh Sadique of Turag, Aminul Bashar of Dakshin Khan, and Shaker Mohammad Zubair of Kamrangirchar police station were among the transferred officers.
The OCs of some other police stations of DMP may be transferred.

Meanwhile, source said that the OCs of eight police stations have been transferred as they failed to collect information in advance and to take effective measures tackling the violence during the  quota reform movement.
