Bangladesh Railway will resume passenger train services from Thursday on a limited scale.

It said two commuter trains will make two trips on the Dhaka-Narayanganj and Dhaka-Tongi routes during the hours when the curfew is relaxed on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the railway authorities suspended the operation of all train services from July 18 amid the countrywide turmoil centring the quota reform movement.
Railways Ministry Secretary Humayun Kabir told the media that the authorities will take a decision about full-fledged operation on Thursday.

He also informed that the freight trains have already started operations on Wednesday.
