Quota Reform Movement: Over 4,000 sued, 122 arrested in M'singh

As many as 4,000 individuals have been made accused in 14 cases relating to vandalism and violence during the quota reform movement in Mymensingh district.

Following the cases, police have arrested 122 individuals from different parts of the district so far.

Mymensingh Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime) Md. Shamim Hossain confirmed the information on Wednesday afternoon and said that the arrests were made during separate joint raids by DB police and local police personnel.

He further added that the arrested, including Mymensingh Metropolitan BNP convenor AKM Shafiqul Islam, joint convenor Liton Akanda, district's south BNP treasurer Ratan Akanda, have already been sent to jail through court proceedings.
