Tree plantation festival held at Singra

NATORE, July 18: With the slogan 'Sabuje Shyamolay Singra, Gore Tulbo Amra', a tree plantation festival was inaugurated on the yard of food godown in Singra Upazila of the district recently. 

'Alokito Samaj', an NGO in the upazila, organized the festival. Arifa Jesmin, president of Alokito Samaj, inaugurated the programme. 
Under this initiative, about one lakh saplings of different trees will be distributed free of cost among people of different professions in the upazila.
