Members of Rapid Action Battalion rescued around 60 policemen who got stranded inside Canadian International University in the capital's Badda area during the ongoing nationwide 'complete shutdown' over quota reform Thursday noon.

"Around 60 law enforcers were airlifted by a helicopter from the university building, said Imran Khan, assistant superintendent of police (ASP) at the media wing of the RAB headquarters.
Witnesses said, clashes broke out between the quota protesters and the police in the area this morning.

At one point, some law enforcers entered the university and stayed there for a while after being chased by the quota protesters, they added.
