HSC exams for July 28, 29, 31, Aug 1 postponed

The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations for July 28, 29, 31 and August 1 will not be held on the schedule.

Prof Tapan Kumar Sarkar, Chairman of Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and Chairman of Dhaka Education Board, told reporters on Thursday.

Earlier, the authorities postponed examinations of all education boards scheduled for July 18, 21, 23 and 25.
Amid violence over Quota Reform Movement, the Education Ministry earlier closed all educational institutions at the secondary and higher secondary levels as well as polytechnic institutes until further notice.

Private and public universities were also shut since July 17 to prevent escalation of violence centring the students' movement.
