Nujuma is the latest resort to open as part of Saudi Arabia's The Red Sea development in the west of the Kingdom.
The private resort is set on Ummahat island and is accessed by chartered boat or seaplane. It has 63 overwater and beach villas, offering one-to-three-bedrooms, living areas and private pools.

The shell-inspired overwater villas are connected by an elevated walkway. The villas' canopied interiors are decorated with Arabic artefacts celebrating local craftmanship and all come with a dedicated 'host'. Telescopes positioned on the deck of each villa give guests the chance to view the night sky.
The resort has five restaurants, including Tabrah, serving fresh fish; Sita, serving Levantine dishes; and the poolside Jamaa, serving light dishes cooked from its open kitchen and wood-fired grill.

Its Neyrah Spa has five sea-facing treatment rooms and three outdoor treatment cabins. The space also features vitality and lap pools, a hammam and a fitness centre.

The Red Sea is cited as being "surrounded by the world's fourth-largest barrier reef system with an archipelago of more than 90 untouched islands". Snorkelling and diving feature on the programme of guest activities, as does exploring the surrounding mangroves.

"As more and more travellers look to discover new corners of the earth, we are thrilled to reveal our newest Ritz-Carlton Reserve, located amongst the natural beauty and stunning setting of The Red Sea," said Jenni Benzaquen, SVP The Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis and Bulgari Hotels & Resorts.

Nujuma joins a collection of rare Ritz-Carlton Reserve estates around the world, inviting the most discerning travellers to embark on a journey of exploration where every encounter reveals a deeper connection to the destination"- he also added.
Nujuma is the first in the Ritz-Carlton Reserve collection to open in the Middle East. The other Ritz-Carlton Reserves are Dorado Beach in Puerto Rico, Higashiyama in Japan, Mandapa in Bali, Phulay Bay in Thailand, Rissai Valley in China and Zadún in Mexico.

Opportunity to gain unique insights into the Saudi Arabian culture, traditions and the destination are presented by a team of local experts dedicated to preserving and sharing their heritage. Honouring the legacy of nomadic exploration and learning, the Conservation House is an integrated space for creative pursuits to expand knowledge and foster a sense of community.
