Dhaka University authorities have said that as many as 300 rooms of Rokeya Hall and Sir AF Rahman Hall were vandalised during the quota protests.

The university's vice-chancellor, Prof ASM Maksud Kamal, visited the damaged halls on Friday. Following his visit, Kamal said the university administration has already assessed the extent of the damage in the halls.

"Regular educational activities will begin once the University Grants Commission approves the financial sanction, the halls are repaired, and the necessary procedures are complete," he said.    —bdnews24.com
