RAB arrests 290 more people for recent violence

As part of nationwide drives, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have arrested a total of 290 people from different parts of the country, including Dhaka, in connection with the violence during Quota Reform Movement.

ANM Imran Khan, assistant director (ASP) of the Legal and Media Wing of RAB, said out of 290, 71 were arrested in Dhaka, while the rest from outside Dhaka in the last 24 hours till Saturday morning on charge of sabotage.

The arrested people actively participated in attacks, vandalism and arson attacks in different places of the capital recently. They took part in these attacks and sabotage as per the direction of various opposition political parties and anti-liberation war, he added.
