Young man electrocuted in Panchagarh

PANCHAGARH, July 27: A young man was electrocuted in Sadar Upazila of the district on Friday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Noor Islam, 26, son of Yeakub Ali, a resident of Laskarpara Village under Kajaldighi Union in the upazila.
According to local sources, Noor came in contact with a live wire when he was trying to connect an electric bulb in the afternoon, which left him dead on the spot.

Being informed, police rushed there and recovered the body.

Later on, the body was handed over to the deceased's family members without an autopsy.

Officer-in-Charge of Panchagarh Sadar Police Station (PS) Pardeep Kumar Roy confirmed the incident, adding that an unnatural death case was filed with the PS in this regard.
