2,754 people arrested in 229 cases

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) said that a total of 2, 753 individuals were arrested in 229 cases on charges of vandalism, violence, and arson attack.

Among them, 228 people were arrested in 22 cases across the country in the last 24 hours.

DMP public relations and media wing on Sunday said the accused were identified after analyzing CCTV footage and based on the intelligence information.

Meanwhile, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested 304 people, till Sunday morning, from different parts of the country for their alleged involvement in Vandalism, arson and sabotage during the recent violence over Quota Reform protests.
