Six wagons of oil train derailed at Parbatipur

PARBATIPUR, DINAJPUR, July 28: Six wagons of an oil train derailed in Parbatipur Upazila of the district on Friday noon. 

The incident took place in Holdibari Rail Gate area on the Parbatipur-Phulbari road under the upazila at around 1:30 pm. 

Abdus Samad, driver of the train, said that the train, which consists of 28 empty oil wagons, was travelling from Parbatipur to Joydebpur.

When the train reached Holdibari Rail Gate area at noon, six of the wagons derailed from the rail road.

Rofiq Chowdhury, station master of Parbatipur Railway Station, stated that efforts are ongoing to rescue the wagons.
