Asif Mahtab, former teacher of Brac University and Arif Sohel, coordinator of Jahangirnagar University unit of the quota reform movement were placed on a six-day by a Dhaka Court on Monday in a case filed over an arson attack on Setu Bhaban in Dhaka on July 18.
Metropolitan Magistrate Moinul Islam passed the order after DB Inspector Abu Sayeed Miah who is investigating the case, produced Asif and Arif with a prayer to grant a ten-day remand for each.
