Fifth-grade girl found hanging in Netrakona

A 12-year-old girl found hanging at her house in Purbadhala upazila of Netrakona district on Tuesday.

The victim Rita Akter Moyna, 12, was daughter of Ripon Mia and a resident of Hatkanda village under Agia union of the upazila. Rita was a fifth-grader student of a local school.
The deceased mother Reshma Akter said that she went to the nearby bazaar to deliver the lunch to her son. She then found Rita hanging from the ceiling upon returning home.

Purbadhala Police Station officer-in-charge Mohammad Rashedul Islam confirmed the death, adding that police have recovered the body from the spot and procedures were underway to do an autopsy.

The legal actions will be taken in this regard upon receiving autopsy report, added the OC.
