Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has announced a budget of Tk 6,760 crore for the fiscal year 2024-2025.
Out of this, the organization has allocated Tk 100 crore for flood relief, Tk 44 crore for mosquito control activities and Tk 117 crore for infrastructure development in new 18 wards.
DSCC Mayor Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh announced the budget at Mayor Hanif Auditorium at the Nagar Bhaban in the capital on Wednesday.
The revenue income in the new budget from own source is Tk 1,399.18 crore while Tk 104.75 crore will come from other sectors.
Tk 4,363 crore will come from government and foreign sources while Tk 70 crore from government and block allocation.
The total operating expenditure has been estimated at Tk 553.60 crore while other expenses have been estimated at Tk 15.02 crore.
Besides, DSCC's own financing development expenditure is Tk 1,005.31 crore while government and foreign auxiliary development expenditure is estimated at Tk 4,363 crore.
Total development expenditure is determined at Tk 5,368.31 crore and the closing status is estimated at Tk 823.81 crore.
