Attack on DC office in N'ganj, more than 50 injured

At least 50 persons were injured during the clash between agitators and police in Narayanganj on Sunday.

 At one point in the afternoon, the agitators attacked the office of the Narayanganj Deputy Commissioner.
Eyewitnesses said that students of various schools and colleges started gathering at the central Shaheed Minar of the city from 10 am. At one stage, they became huge, along with that, garment workers started joining one after another. 

All of them besieged Chashadha Gol Chattar area of ​​the city. After a while, a group of garment workers joined the movement and attacked the office of Narayanganj's DC. They first set fire to the DC theme park in front of the office. Later, they entered the office. During this time the DC and other officials were blocked.

Police fired teargas, sound grenades and rubber bullets to control the situation. More than 50 persons were injured by police rubber bullets.

Narayanganj Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mahmudul Haque said that BGB members have been deployed in front of the office to control the situation. Army's help has also been sought.
