The Anti-Discrimination Student Movement had announced a two-day programme to press home its one-point demand -- resignation of the government.
According to the programme, a woman's and workers' rally was scheduled for Monday (August 5), and a Long March towards Dhaka on Tuesday (August 6).
However, the Long March towards Dhaka will now be held on Monday (August 5), instead of Tuesday (August 6).
Asif Mahmud, one of the coordinators of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, stated it in a release sent to the mass media on Sunday (August 4) afternoon.
Earlier, Nahid Islam, another coordinator of the movement, through a release sent to the media announced the fresh programme as part of their ongoing non-cooperation movement.
Besides, they will hold women's rally and workers' rally across the country on August 5 to make the people aware of their demands.
The release said that Martyrs' Memorial Plaques will be unveiled across the country on Monday in memory of the non-cooperation movement.
Additionally, there will be a workers' rally at 11am at Shahbagh and a women's rally at the same location at 5pm. Protests and sit-in programmes are also planned nationwide.
The organisers of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement have called on students and citizens to sustain the movement until the government resigns, urging persistence even in the face of potential internet shutdowns and crackdowns.
