Farmer electrocuted at Kulaura

KULAURA, MOULVIBAZAR, Aug 4: A farmer was electrocuted in Kulaura Upazila of the district on Sunday morning.

The incident took place in Pabai Village under Hazipur Union of the upazila at around 7 am.

The deceased was identified as Khalis Mia, 40, son of late Martuz Ali, a resident of the aforesaid the area.

Police and local sources said Khalis Mia was going to his cropland from the house in the morning for planting Aman paddy. On the way, he came in contact with a torn electric wire which was on the road. He died on the spot. 

Being informed, police recovered the body and sent it to Moulvibazar Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy. 

Sub-Inspector of Kulaura Police Station Anwar Hossain confirmed the incident.
