8 killed in Feni clashes

FENI, Aug 5: At least eight people were killed in a series of clashes between the protesters and activists of Awami League (AL) and its affiliates in the district on Sunday.

Asif Iqbal, residential medical officer of Feni Sadar Hospital, confirmed the deaths.

Though the identities of the deceased could not be ascertained immediately, it was confirmed that they were aged between 17 and 25. At least 26 people were also injured in this incidents.
The incidents took place in the Mohipal area on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway after 2 pm.

The bodies of the deceased were taken to Feni General Hospital from the scene.
