Coordinators of the Anti-discrimination Student Movement on Monday said that a roadmap for formation of an interim government would be presented within 24 hours.

They said this at a press conference at Tejgaon in the evening.

"We dedicate this uprising to our martyred students," said key Coordinator Nahid Islam.

Coordinators Hasnat Abdullah, Asif Mahmud, Sarjis Alam were present, among others.

Earlier, Asif Mahmud said, "Political and civil society representatives, our teachers, and the leadership of the student-public will present the roadmap of formation of an interim government through coordination and that roadmap will have to be implemented."

He said, "The will of the main stakeholders of this student-public uprising will be reflected in it."

Coordinators also urged everyone across the country to stay calm and work together to protect state properties.

They called upon all to refrain from violence.

Coordinator Nahid Islam said, "We have to protect this country. All assets and properties  of the state belong to the people."

"We call upon all to refrain from violence, attacks, looting and vandalism," Nahid said.

He said, "We urge them to take positions on the capital's roads in a peaceful manner until the outline of the interim government is finalised."

Nahid said, "Our one-point demand brought the fall of Sheikh Hasina government and abolition of the fascist system. Sheikh Hasina has resigned but the fascist state system is still in place. Our final victory will be achieved through the abolition of the fascist system."

At the same time, every death and other atrocities will be investigated, he said.

Earlier on August 3, protesters declared their one point demand calling for the resignation of the Hasina government.

At the same time, they also demanded the formation of a national interim government.

Sheikh Hasina resigned and fled the country on Monday.
