2 Jubo league leaders found dead in Bogura

Two local Jubo league leader were reportedly hacked to death by miscreants in Bogura on Monday night.

The incidents occurred in Malgram Dighipara of Bogura city and Khornabazar in Shajahanpur upazila.
The deceased were identified as Ranu Paikar, 34, a member of ward No. 14 Jubo League unit in Bogura Municipality, and Nur Alam, 28, organizing secretary of ward No. 1 Jubo League of Khornabazar in Shajahanpur upazila. 

Ranu Paikar was a resident of Chaprapara area in Bogura city, while Nur Alam hailed from Deshma village in Khornabazar Union. Their political affiliations were confirmed by Zakaria Adil, office secretary of Bogura district Jubo League.

Shajahanpur Police Station officer-in-charge Shahidul Islam confirmed the deaths and said, "We have heard that a resident of Deshma village in Khornabazar Union was hacked to death. However, no formal complaint has been lodged regarding the incident so far."

According to locals, a group of assailants attacked and killed Ranu Paikar in the area around 8 PM last night.

Later, at around 10 PM, another group of attackers killed Nur Alam in Khornabazar area of Shajahanpur upazila.

Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital deputy director Dr. Abdul Wadud reported that Nur Alam was brought to the hospital's emergency department dead last night, and his body was taken away by relatives later that night. 

"Meanwhile, Ranu Paikar’s body remains in the hospital's morgue for autopsy," he added.
