Bangla Academy DG Rashid Askari resigns

Director General of the Bangla Academy Prof M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari has resigned from his post on Saturday on personal ground.

Nargis Sanjida Sultana, deputy director of the Public Relations Subdivision of Bangla Academy, acknowledged the matter.

The former vice-chancellor of Islamic University Prof Askari has been appointed as new DG of the Bangla Academy on July 18 this year for the next three years.
