Juba Dal leader hacked to death in city

A Juba Dal leader was hacked to death reportedly by unknown miscreants in Demra area of the capital on Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Abu Sayed, 33, a convener of  Juba Dal of 67 No. ward. He was a businessman by profession.

Md Bacchu Mia, in-charge of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police outpost,  said the miscreants slit Sayed's throat with a sharp weapon in front of Sharulia Oriental School around 11pm on Friday, leaving him critically injured.

Family members brought him to DMCH where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.
The body was kept at the DMCH morgue for postmortem.  

He said a case was filed with concern police station in this connection.
