The deceased were identified as Sufia Begum, 55, a resident of Kalia Uttarpara area under Kauljani Union in the upazila, and her granddaughter Khadija, 12. They used to live in Dhaka.

Local sources said Sufia Begum came home from Dhaka along with her family members two days back.
