2 teenagers killed being crushed by truck in Manikganj

Two teenagers riding a motorcycle were killed when a truck crushed them in Manikganj on Tuesday.

The accident happened in the afternoon at Jagir on the Dhaka-Aricha highway.
The dead were Zakir Hossain, son of Zahid Hossain of Charkhand Gola area under ​​Sadar Upazila of District, and Sayem Mia, the son of Badsha Molla of the same area.

Golra Highway Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Rupol Chandra Das said a bus belonging to 'Selfie Paribahan' was going to Paturia. On the way, it ran over the motorcycle of the two boys. Zakir fell on the road. Meanwhile, he was crushed under a truck coming from the opposite direction and died on the spot. Sayem was seriously injured. He was rushed to a local hospital where he also died while undergoing treatment.

The bodies were sent to Colonel Malek Medical College Hospital for autopsy, the OC added.
