Police also made demonstrations demanding the reformation of the police department.

As the police were in movement, the students who are involved in rover scouts and BNCC of different academic institutions performed their traffic duties on the roads on voluntary basis.

Many of the youths were also seen performing the duties in road intersections, taking sticks in their hands.

As the traffic police were not seen on duty on the roads since the step down of the AL-led government, Brigadier General (Rtd) Sakhawat Hossain, one of the advisers to the interim government led by Professor Dr Yunus,  gave the ultimatum to the police to join at their respective working places within August 15.
