Salman, Anisul arrested while trying to flee city by river

Salman F Rahman, former adviser to the recently ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina, and former law minister Anisul Huq have been arrested from the Sadarghat area of the capital during an alleged escape attempt, police said.

They were arrested in a case filed with the New Market Police Station, DMP Commissioner Mainul Hasan confirmed to the media. 

Police arrested them on a tip-off while the arrested were trying to flee the capital on waterways, said the police Commissioner.

He informed that Anisul and Salman have been arrested in a case filed with Dhaka's New Market Police Station while they were trying to flee.
