Miscreants have hacked a woman and her two sons to death on Panchagarh's Atwari upazila.

The deceased were Taslima Akter, 35, wife of cloth trader Salim, her two sons Saikat, 12, and Sayham, 9.

Quoting locals, police said around 11pm, when Salim returned home from his cloth shop, he found the blood-ridden bodies of his wife and two sons. Hearing hue and cry, neighbours rushed in and informed the police and army.

Police took the bodies to Atwari Police Station.

Atwari Police Station OC Abu Musa Miah said they assumed that the trio might have been murdered due to internal enmity.
