UN team to arrive next week to probe Bangladesh atrocities

The United Nations (UN) is sending a fact finding team in Dhaka next week to probe into killings during the recent student movement in Bangladesh.

UN Resident Coordinator Gwen Lewis told reporters following a meeting with Foreign Adviser Md Touhid Hossain on Thursday.  

Gwen Lewis said the mission will come to Bangladesh next week for an inquiry. The UN itself will fund the investigation.

The meeting between The UN Resident Coordinator and the Foreign Adviser lasted for more than half an hour.
