All schools, colleges and madrasa, including universities, across the country will reopen on Sunday (August 18).

The Secondary and Higher Education Division under the Education Ministry on Thursday gave the instruction to the authorities concerned following the directive of the Chief Adviser to the Interim
Government.
According to an office order issued by the Secondary and Higher Education Division, signed by Deputy Secretary Mosammat Rahima Akter, the Chief Adviser has given instruction to open all educational institutions.

Amid the violent students protest across the country, the government announced the closure of all educational institutions in July.

Later, educational institutions in some areas opened partially, but most remained closed in Dhaka city.
