A murder case was filed against 101 people, including former prime minister Sheikh Hasina and Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader, in Bogura on Friday.
Sikandar Hossain, father of the victim, filed the case with the with Bogura Sadar Police Station on Friday, said Officer-in-Charge Saihan Oliullah of the police station.
He said 99 other local AL leaders and activists, including prominent Awami League figures, two former MPs, eight municipality councilors, and 25 local representatives, were also accused in the case filed over the murder of Selim.
According to the case statement, Selim Hossain, 35, a teacher and a resident of Palikanda village of Shibganj upazila, joined Anti-Discrimination Student Movement in Satmatha area of Bogura town on August 4.
AL leaders and activists attacked the protesters and hacked Selim to death with sharp weapons.
Meanwhile, Selim's brother claimed Uzzal said that Selim was not killed in a shooting. AL men killed his brother after getting orders from Hasina and Quader.
