BNP Vice Chairman Maj (Retd) Hafizuddin Ahmed and Dr AZM Zahid Hossain have been appointed members of the party's standing committee.
Senior Joint General Secretary of the party, Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, gave this information at a press conference at Naya Paltan office on Friday.
Rizvi said the Acting Chairman of BNP elected them as members of the Standing Committee of the party.
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman along with Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Dr Khandaker Musharraf, Barrister Zamir Uddin Sarkar, Barrister Rafiqul Islam Mia, Mirza Abbas, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Abdul Moyeen Khan, Nazrul Islam Khan, Amir Khusru Mahmud Chowdhury, Salauddin Ahmed, Begum Selima Rahman, Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku are other members of the party's highest decision making body.
