2 held with hemp in Kurigram

Police arrested two drug peddlers along with 100 pieces of Yaba pills at Phulbari upazila in Kurigram district on Friday night.

The arrested men are Nazmul Islam, 25, and Jahidul Islam, 23, both from Rangpur district.

It was learnt that the duo were arrested from near Sanauall Nurani Madarasa under Phulbari Sadar union on Friday night. At that time, police recovered 100 pieces of Yaba tablets and one motorcycle from their possessions.

Nowabur Rahman, officer in-charge of Phulbari Police Station, said that the arrested people were sent to Kurigram Jail after a case was filed against them under the Narcotics Control Act.
