25 deputy commissioners transferred

The government has transferred deputy commissioners (DCs) of 25 districts to different ministries and departments across the country.

The Ministry of Public Administration issued two separate notifications in this regard on Tuesday.
It was decided earlier that new DCs would be appointed after withdrawing the existing DCs in phases.

The DCs have been transferred from the following districts: Dhaka, Sylhet, Habiganj, Mymensingh, Magura, Rangpur, Gaibandha, Naogaon, Natore, Cox's Bazar, Chittagong, Noakhali, Gazipur, Comilla, Moulvibazar, Khulna, Gopalganj, Faridpur, Sherpur, Kushtia, Jhenaidah, Pabna, Bogura, Joypurhat, and Chandpur.

The interim government has decided to remove all the DCs.
