DINAJPUR, Aug 20: A case was filed against former justice M Enayetur Rahim and his younger brother former member of parliament M Iqbalur Rahim in connection with the killing of a student during the Anti-Discrimination Students Movement in Dinajpur.

Local BNP leader Ruhan Hossain filed the murder case over the killing of Rahul Islam, a student, with Dinajpur Sadar Police Station.

Mentioning the names of 18 more people, some 400 unidentified people have been made accused in the case. Dinajpur Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Farid Hossain confirmed it.

Deceased Rahul Islam was a second-year student at Raniganj Yahia Hossain School and College. He hailed from village Bidormoshai under Dinajpur Sadar upazila.

The case states that college student Rahul joined a procession of the Anti-Discrimination Students Movement in Dinajpur on August 4. Starting from Dinajpur Polytechnic Institute premises, the procession started advancing. When it reached the house of justice M Enayetur Rahim and M Iqbalur Rahim, the processionists hurled brick chips at the house. Then a clash broke out which left Rahul injured.
