Bangladesh and Nepal will engage today (Thursday) at 2:45pm (BST) in the last group match in 2024 SAFF Under-20 Championship to decide the topper of Group-A.
The match will be played at the ANFA Complex in the Lalitpur Metropolitan City of Nepal.
Earlier on Tuesday, the boys red and green stormed into the last-four round of the ongoing tournament with a 2-0 win over Sri Lanka in the first match.
The boys in had one eye on the champion's trophy the calculation became easy with Sri Lanka losing the first group match to Nepal by 0-1 on Sunday. Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka are competing in the group.
The host Nepal was already in the semis beating Sri Lanka in the first match. So, a win in the first match was enough for Bangladesh to secure the semi-finals.
Who ever wins the match today will face Group-B runner-up in the first semi-final on Sunday while the losing side will meet Group-B champion in the second semi-final. On Monday
In the first match, striker Mirajul Islam scored the first goal in the 17th minute while Piash Ahmmed Nova of Bangladesh doubled the score with an 85-minute goal.
