Three senior police officers, including two additional inspectors general of police, have been sent on forced retirement from service.
The officials are -- Md Mahabubar Rahman, additional IGP of Industrial Police, Dhaka, Mohammad Ali Mia, additional IGP of Police Headquarters and Joydeb Kumar Bhadra, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Police Headquarters.
The Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs issued three separate notifications signed by Senior Secretary Dr Mohammad Abdul Momen in this regard on Thursday.
According to the notifications, they have been sent to retirement from government service in the public interest as per the provisions of section 45 of the Public Service Act, 2018.
They will be entitled to get all fringes of retirement benefits as per rules, it added.
Earlier, on Wednesday (August 21), three top police officials have been sent into forced retirement from service.
The three officials were additional IGP Atikul Islam, additional IGP (supernumerary) of police Headquarters Anwar Hossain and additional commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Md Asaduzzaman.
The trio had been missing from the office for the last couple of days.
