Lt Gen (retd) Abdul Hafiz has been appointed as the special assistant to the Chief Adviser of the Interim Government Prof Muhammad Yunus.

A gazette issued by the Cabinet on Thursday (August 22).

Hafiz will provide necessary support to the Chief Adviser in carrying out duties related to defense and national unity development.

As a special assistant, Lt Gen (Retd) Hafiz will receive the rank, salary, allowances, and other ancillary benefits associated with the position of adviser, reads the gazette.
