Some 24 years ago, a mother was over the moon after the birth of her first child. Keeping aside her tension of Masters final, Naznin Begum Eva  was ecstatic, playing with her child , giving baby the motherly love as every mother does. But the tension of the examination also kept her away to detect the problem of her child faces. Somehow she noticed, her baby son didn't make an eye contact to her.

"After two years of marriage, my first son was born. I became a first-time mother but I did not find out problem of my son due the master's final exam. The boy never made eye contact," Naznin said, describing her story.

"When I was taken to the child hospital, they sent me to the child development centre. No serial before three months. They sent me to a private doctor. The doctor taught some therapy. I was referred to a pediatric ophthalmologist. What is the problem? The pediatric eye doctor threw the glasses from my son's eyes and said, "If there was a law, I would have told you to file a case." What has been done to so many children is inhumane. He also gave some therapy. As a result of therapy, the boy learned to sit, stand, walk, but did not speak or make eye contact."

After a prolonged treatment and harassment, she finally came to know the bitter true when a doctor harshly said her baby is autistic. She was all tears as it was tough pill to swallow for her.

Sometimes later, she stood up and gained her composure that eventually led to the formation of RHAM  (Rehabilitation Home for Autistic and Mentally retarded).
