GAIBANDHA, Aug 24: A march of harmony was brought out in the town on Friday afternoon with an aim to preserve inter-religious harmony in the district and demanding to build beautiful Bangladesh.

District unit of Hindu, Buddhist and Christian Welfare Front arranged the programme so that people of all caste and religions can live in the district in harmony.

The rally led by BNP District Unit President Dr Moinul Hasan Sadiq was brought out from the Shaheed Minar premises, and it ended at the same venue after parading the main roads of the town.

After the rally, a discussion meeting was held with Convener of the District Hindu, Buddhist and Christian Welfare Front Bipul Kumar Das in the chair while its Member Secretary Bishnu Kumar Das moderated the function.

The discussion was also addressed, among others, by BNP District Unit General Secretary Mahadunnabi Titul, its Vice-President Shahiduzzaman Shahid, Advocate Zahangir Alom Zinnah, and leaders of District BNP Amirul Islam Foku, Morshed Habib Sohel and Mosarrof Hossain.

The speakers said Sheikh Hasina's government has crippled the country in the last 15 years. She was forced to resign and fled the country due to a student-led mass uprising on August 5 last, they added.
