A motorcyclist was killed in a head-on collision between two motorcycles at Saidpur upazila in Nilphamari district on Saturday night.
The accident took place at 10:00 PM on the Saidpur-Parbatipur road in the upazila.
The deceased was identified as Anis Mondol, 50, a resident of Hazipara village under Belaichandi union in Parbatipur upazila.
According to locals, Anis Mondol was returning home from a local market on his motorcycle. On the way his home, he collided with another motorcycle, leaving him critically injured.
He was rescued and taken to Saidpur 100-bed Hospital.
Later, he was referred to Rangpur Medical College Hospital (RMCH) as his condition deteriorated.
But, he succumbed to his injuries on the way to Rangpur.
