Mother, son killed in Barishal road accident

A woman and her four-year-old son were killed and another six injured after a bus hit a three wheeler at Gouronodi upazila in Barishal district on Sunday afternoon.

The accident took place around 1:30 PM in Bezhar area on the Dhaka-Barishal highway in the upazila.
The deceased were identified as Sumi Aktar, 30, wife of Azom Mridha, and her minor son Azmain, residents of Dottarabad area under Rotnopur union in Agailjhara upazila.

It was learnt that a Dhaka-bound Zamuna paribohon bus collided with a three wheeler in the area (locally known as Mohendra), coming from the opposite direction, leaving the duo dead on the spot. 

The bodies have been handed over to the concern police station, said Zaman, sub-inspector of Gouronodi Highway Police Station.
