Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) President Mahbubul Alam urged the business community and industrial conglomerates to lend more support to the affected people in the ongoing devastating flood sweeping over some districts of the country.
The chief of the country's apex trade body also called upon the wholesale and retail traders of the country to make minimum profit in the sales of puffed rice, flattened rice, jaggery, sugar, dry foods, medicines, salines, child foods, purified water and in other essential items under such circumstances, said a press release.
Some districts of the county including Noakhali, Camilla, Chattogram, Feni are experiencing devastating flood due to excessive rain and onrush of water coming from the upstream.
People from all walks of life irrespective of their class and creed including students, business community, and various voluntary organizations have been standing beside the flood affected people with various relief and essential items.
