Flood situation in Companiganj worsens as Musapur regulator breaches

Published : Tuesday, 27 August, 2024 at 10:28 AM  Count : 719

Due to heavy rainfall and water from upstream, the 23-vent regulator in Musapur union of Noakhali's Companiganj has collapsed.

Millions of people of eight unions under Feni Sadar were marooned as tidal water has started entering new areas.

The Muchapur regulator has broken due to the strong pressure of water from upstream coming down from Tripura, Comilla and Feni.
The regulator was breached on Monday morning, locals confirmed.

The water has increased from one to one-and-a-half feet due to upstream water in the last 24 hours
