Teenage boy hacked dead in C'Nawabganj

A teenage boy was hacked to death by miscreants at Shibganj upazila in Chapainawabganj district on Monday night.

Police recovered the body around 9:00 AM from the House Nagar area in the upazila. 

The deceased was identified as Abdul Karim, 16, son of Abdul Sattar, a resident of House Nagar village under Manakosa union in the upazila.

It was learnt that locals spotted the body in the morning and informed the police.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Chapainawabganj Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy, said   Sukomal Debnath, officer-in-charge of Shibganj Police Station.

The murder might have happened sometime on Monday night, the police official added.
