Light to moderate rain falls forecasted over parts of country

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over three divisions and at a few places over another five divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country.

"Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Khulna divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country," said a met office forecast for the next 24 hours begins from 9 am Tuesday, reports BSS.
The well-marked low over Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining area weakened into a low pressure area now lies over Bihar and adjoining area. The axis of monsoon troughs runs through Punjab, Hariyana, Uttar Pradesh, center of the low, Gangetic West Bengal to Assam across southern part of Bangladesh.
 
Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay.

Day and night temperature may rise slightly over the country.

Country's maximum temperature was recorded 35.0 degree Celsius on Monday at Rangpur district and today's minimum temperature 24.0 degree Celsius was recorded at Rangamati district.

Maximum rainfall was recorded 84 millimeters (mm) at Jashore district for the last twenty-four hours till 6am Tuesday.

The sun sets at 06.21 pm Tuesday and rises at 05.39am Wednesday in the capital.
